Autumn Ultralight: New Ultralight Titanium Cinch Buckles

Hello everyone! I have been working on a new ultralight titanium cinch buckle and I am calling these Breeze Buckles!

Testing on these has gone well and I have had the first batch cut.

These will need to take another trip through the tumbler (I need to buy a tumbler this week) and to be pull tested but I have been hanging on these and I'm quite pleased with them.

These are made from 1/8 inch grade 5 titanium and come in at 9.2 grams each.

    These will be available soon.

Looks good and I dig the name! You've been working on lots of new things. How soon till you'll have them up on your website?

It should be within a couple weeks.

I have my vibration tumbler on order. They were tumbled by the machine shop but they need another round and it's much more cost effective to buy my own tumbler rather than pay the machine shop to do it. Finish work seems to add up really quickly...

I also have to send the buckles off with continuous loops and tree straps to be pull tested. I want to know exactly what the weight limit of these is.

I've been hanging on these and I have two 250-280 lb friends hanging on them with me for three days this weekend to give them a good test!

I'd like to see a version with a hook instead of an eye. Would be nice to have the option of leaving the hardware on the straps and hooking onto the CLs.

BTW, really like the stuff you do.

    Thank you so much!

That design has been drawn and is in the works. It will have a little twist to it too.

I am having a hard time visualizing how the webbing threads through these. It looks as though they would be very hard to adjust once the webbing is in them. I would like to see a video or explanation of how they are set up.

I asked the same question regarding adjustability, and Ann Marie sent me this link. They seem very easy to adjust.

Actually that seems to be exactly what they are designed to address! When they are “unlocked” (not threaded through the third slot) they are easier than most other buckles to loosen, which are most buckle system’s pain point. This is just my assumption from looking at the shape and design. Nice job!
