    Cedar Ridge Outdoors
    www.cedarridgegear.com

The first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Cedar Ridge”, I think of All-American Southern Comfort. Their quilts are some of the softest, roomiest, top quilts I’ve had the pleasure of burying my face in. This cottage company prides themselves in their homemade quilts, 100% sourced in the USA. They accommodate bigger and taller people in all their products and don’t just make / sell quilts. CRO carries tarps, hammocks, cookware, and other backpacking accessories. Aaaand, get this, I just saw their banner across their website homepage and it is offering 10% off All month with Code “hike-10”. It doesn’t show their faces, but the owners of this company are the sweetest boys in the “615” area code. As soon as you meet them, they are insta-family.

A hearty “thankeee” to you, CRO boys. We look forward to what you’ve got brewing up for the raffle. Your donations are always a crowd pleaser… much like your balloon animals and hats. Give em some thumbs up and follows to thank them. <3

    Borah Gear

So, many people know you can rig your hammock to go to ground if necessary, or you can cowboy camp, which has its own allure. You may crave the uninterrupted view of the stars in a wide open meadow or that breathtaking view from above the treeline, but what about when it’s more than one night or even your whole hike...do you give up that amazing opportunity just
because you won’t be hanging? Of course not! Then it’s time to check out Borah Gear for ultralight bivys and accessories that will help get you out there enjoying the things you love:

    http://borahgear.com
    https://www.facebook.com/borahgear

For a good look at the Bug Bivy under a tarp, check out:

All items are custom made by hand, at the time of order, right here in Montana.

A heartfelt thank you is going out to Borah Gear, because to help you get out there and support our hang and hiking community, they have donated this $100 gift certificate!

    Jacks R Better

    https://www.jacksrbetter.com/

Wanna know a secret recipe? Mix 2 Cups of Creativity, 1 ¾ Cup Hiker Trash, 1 tablespoon of Motorcycle Grit, and a sprinkle of Angling. Marinate all that in craft beer and slow roast it in a James River Bridge UltraLight Hammock and you’ve got yourself Jacks R Better. Yeah, these guys are super cool and down to earth and it shows at the hangs they attend. (Conversation Starter: When you see them, ask what beer they’ve enjoyed recently.)

Ok, so check their https://www.instagram.com/jacks_r_better_quilts/ for their Brook Trout tarp series! It’s incredible. You currently won’t find these exact products anywhere else and they are mapping out a path to connect like-hearted hammock hanglers. These owners (avid travelers) have honed down on what looks awesome between trees and what is super functional and durable. They stand behind their product, which is made in the USA, and offer a one-year warranty on material and/or craftsmanship defect. Pretty sweet.

Did you know you can hold your hiking poles out to see if a set of trees is the right length to hang from? WHAAAaaaat?? Tell me you knew this. LOL Their videos (posted by the original owners) totally enlightened me. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkN...xv58x6CSoXmB_g Thanks Pan!

Give this company some likes and raise a glass to their donation, which is on its way. I didn’t want to lose the chance to give this super-cool company some love.

Thanks, boys, and safe journeys. Will miss you this MAHHA go-around but hopefully we will see you in the Spring.

Whoa!! Did I just see the famous Syntax77 is attending this?? Sooo COOL!
I have yet to meet any of the youtubers I've enjoyed over the years, and this would be kinda neat!
Going to be in Myerstown, PA that weekend - gotta check the family schedule- I might just make the hour+ trek to join this for Saturday
I've met some terrific folks in Maine/New England and my first contact with hammock folks was in south Jersey - It would be so much fun to meet NEW friends in PA

    Hmm...

I wonder if anyone else knows that you're famous among hangs too. Just sayin'.

    Swayy Hammocks

Who doesn't love lounging in the hammock for a bit and getting a nice sway going? Whether you rig yourself a swing rope, or just hang low enough to push off with an arm or leg, there's nothing quite like the good it does for body and soul!

After an uncomfortable experience with Frozen Butt Syndrome, Seth was inspired to pursue the opportunity to create insulated hammocks. He wrote, "When I started Swayy in college I didn't fully understand my "WHY", but now I do. In all that we do, we aim to invest Comfort, Security, and Warmth. Whether it's the gear we create, the interactions we have or the experiences we foster, that is our mission."

In a world where people increasingly feel like a number, and meaningful relationships seem to be harder to come by, it is refreshing when a business with heart emerges! Seth explains in his blog, "Up to this point, all that Swayy has become is due to the many relationships I have been able to be a part of. It’s never one man, it’s never one thing and it’s never one mindset. To build a company, to become a leader, is to strive forward with a vision that many people rally behind."

With 10 stickers good for 20% off donated to the raffle, you will want to be sure to swing by the site to check out their insulated hammocks! Don't forget to check out some of his blogs and articles!

I gotta admit, Syntax is the youtuber who got me into hammocking and helped me drag myself back into the outdoors. Work has kept me out of the woods all season and made me miss the Spring MAHHA. That won't be a problem this time, already got Friday scheduled off and approved by the supervisor. I'll be there bright and early Friday morning, figuring by 10 at the latest. That's the joy of living 5 miles from Caledonia and 30 minutes from Pine Grove!
