    Cheap(ish) Amsteel – 600'

LFS Marine Outdoor is once again selling 600' of 7/64" amsteel for only $55.72 – only red and green are currenly available and this is the first time I've gotten an order before it's sold out.

You can also sign up for the newsletter and get a one-time code to save another $10.

    Link to the amsteel

    Good luck.

EDIT: $10 off code should be GO-BOAT-10 – they said it was a one-time code, but at least two of us have gotten it. I don't know if you need to have an account first to use it.

Well, I didn’t want to over sell it. But now I need to figure out what to do with 1200’ of amsteel :-)

Spec says it's 12 strand. I thought 7/64ths was 8 strand and 1/8th was 12 strand. Guessing the 12 stand 7/64ths will be a little heavier than 8 strand.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

It's just reused copy. In the description it states that the 7/64" is only 8 strand.

Yep, I got a spool of the same stuff earlier and it's def 8-strand.

I got a spool of green. I couldn't bring myself to buy whole spools of both red and green - 600 ft is a lifetime supply, because my wife would kill me if I bought two spools.

Anyone with red want to swap some for green?

Yeah...I got a spool of each for $101 with free shipping. But I have some places to spread that around. Still, might be my last purchase of Amsteel.
