Ridgeline touching fabric

Hi!

I larks head my ridgeline on my continuous loop and when the hammock is loaded, the larks head apply some pression to the fabric, is it safe or I should use another method to attach the ridgeline ?

I just run the loop of the SRL through the gather and over the CL without the lark's head. I'm guessing that's what is commonly done. Other than the LHs shortening the SRL by a bit, can't see why there should be a problem.

I can't imagine that could cause any issues. Especially so if you're using some kind of UHMWPE rope (Amsteel, Lash-it, etc), which is notoriously very slippery (and therefore not likely to cause any abrasion damage).

If it's something you're concerned about, just do a quick visual inspection of the fabric after every trip.

it applies pressure but doesn't rub or abraid it. no issue. you could move it up to the suspension where it connects to the CL but that creates issues setting up and breking down.
