Truck mounted tensa hammock stand. My answer to a roof top tent. This pic is proof of concept. Still need to refine it a bit.

Pretty cool but I have to ask.
I see Rooftop tents as a great way to camp in areas with rocks or uneven terrain that can’t hold a tent. A tensa stand makes that all go away.
Now for use at a tailgating party!! Wait for the game in style!!
Are your head end poles longer than your foot end poles or is it just the angle of the photo?
Either way, mighty fine piece of work.
Specially designed so that you get in the hammock from the tailgate to avoid tacoing.

Looks like the foot-end poles are shorter to be able to fit in the PU bed. But, in the truck or not, maybe this asymmetric design has something going for it...
I can think of two reasons (and there are probably more):
1. Once you've got it dialed in, you'll be able to set it up almost instantly. No looking for a spot in reach of anchors, or placing anchors.
2. No worrying that you'll wake up with a pond or creek under you, that's washed away your ground cloth.
