SC - Palmetto State Hangers Fall Sprawl - Santee State Park - Sept 12-15

Come join the Palmetto State Hangers for our biggest event of the year! We will have lots going on this year and will have the entire primitive area to ourselves. Family and dog friendly. New hangers encourage to join us. Let us know if you need any gear.

Vendors attending:
Cedar Ridge Outdoors, Jacks R Better, Dutchware, Walhalla Hammocks and Outdoors, Outdoorsman Outfitters, Kiki Outdoors, Fire and Ice, McGuff’s Designs, The Woods runner School of Self Reliance, Tensa4 Rep along with SMR Rep will be onsite.

Demos:
Backpacking seminar, Knife Demo, bushcraft Demo, intro to ropes/ repelling

Gearage sale on Saturday morning, gear raffle followed by a potluck dinner.

Ghost lies told nightly around the fire by Tally with a chance of midnight bacon!

Good morning! I'm Nicholas, live in N Charleston, new to the forum. I typically run lightweight solo overnights, or two person overnights. I've never been to a group event, but I am trying to get more involved with the community.

Is it cool if I join this late?
are there enough trees for 70+ people?
Anything I should know as a first timer?

I’m not on Facebook
PSH is mostly on Facebook, that is why you see so few posts here on Hammock Forums.
No other replies here or not many replies here, does not mean you are getting excluded.
Phantom guessing here, most of trip planning and chatting back and forth for Fall Sprawl are on Facebook in a chat room or thread.
You could get on Facebook and join in conversation
There is a sign up sheet on this thread we are on now. Sign up so organizers can plan for number of hammock campers at Santee

I expect Santee State Park took minor, if any storm damage. The strong winds didn't push up that far I don't believe. I didn't see much over 40-45mph in my location about 1/2 hour closer to the coast from Santee.

You are more than welcome to join us! There are plenty of trees. Some of us use stands to free up spots for others.
