There was water up there, but the ranger asked us to leave it for the plants and animals. Most of it did not look good, anyway. Skippy had a couple of gallons of water, so his pack was probably over 30 lbs. He had at least twice the water I carried. My pack was lightened by taking no extra food, no rain gear and no clothes other than what I was wearing. I used the Frog Sac and the Speer Top Blanket to keep warm around the camp at night.

Man what a trip. I'm just new getting to enjoy them! Def. takes me back to the week I spent in Big Bend....stunning and subtle beauty for sure. Me green with envy
