Flash: Flash is hanging in Carolina!

After four months here on the mountain, I finally got around to getting my Dutchware Chameleon hammock set up on my Tato stand. I had only had it out with a couple of day-hangers so far.
[and... lest you think I have actually spent that four months productively... I DO have an old-school Pawleys on a steel stand that stays up all the time, and that I lounge in daily!]

Right after we got down here, I bought a fancy new sidecar from Dutch, but hadn’t even found the time to get it attached to the Chameleon.
Tonight I am fully rigged out, locked and loaded. I’m spending the night under the stars… and I don’t even have to leave the yard.
One of the best things is that we have almost no bug problem up here at all! Going topless!

Hold the effing “bear taco“ jokes… Yes, our local black bear has turned my trash over already, but I just ate a meal of Mexican tacos, so I figure I’ve got him held off

Come up sometime... the hillside has plenty of pairs, it's just a dite steep. You have to be careful which side of your rig you get out on.

Love my Tato as long as the wind isn't blowing too much when I need to get out to pee. It has saved me from sleeping on the ground during a couple rafting trips!

1+ on the windage... I got a pair of the big "orange screws" that folks use with their Tensahderons. Haven't needed 'em yet
