Any way we can have some bacon for breakfast as well? I'm not too keen on that pre-cooked sausage we've had a few times. If it wasn't pre-cooked, I'd like sausage just as well as bacon.

If you want to bring yourself some bacon, we'll happily cook it for you

Otherwise, full disclosure: we're trying to balance what makes sense to feed a crowd with what's fiscally responsible, coupled with the fact that 2-3 people have to front the overhead for the event and hope that raffle ticket sales offset the cost with enough left to donate to charity. And bacon for 40+ people doesn't really check any of those boxes. To be honest we were contemplating a meatless breakfast, but thought that would be cruel and unusual punishment so sausage it is.

You do know that we have the biggest bacon glut in history right now? Forty millions pounds of bacon and they don't know how to sell it all. We haven't had such a surplus of bacon in 48 years.

Besides, I would be highly surprised if pre-cooked sausage was any cheaper than regular sausage. Loves me some Jimmy Dean Pork sausage!

I am bringing super yummy bacon, life is too short to eat crappy bacon. I will share mine with you.

You da man, err, woman! I hate pre-cooked anything - just makes no sense to me.

Be careful, feeding Silvr is like feeding bears. Once he gets accustomed to others as a food source, he gets more brazen and demanding, will start telling you how to cook your bacon (just ask P-47), and may eventually have to be relocated or put down.

Breakfast - coffee, pancakes, eggs, sausage

Dinner - pulled pork (we'll have flour and corn tortillas to accommodate the gluten free folk) with slaw, bbq sauce, onions & peppers, cheese, etc.

If anyone has issue(s) with pork, message me and I'll work out an alternative option.
I can bring half and half and local maple syrup from my trees. Doesn't get more local than that. I can also bring butter for pancakes. I will also bring bacon as I am not a huge sausage fan I can help cook too.

Thanks! We won't turn down fresh syrup - that's worth its weight in gold.

We'll have plenty of half and half and butter, and don't mind cooking whatever is needed - we'll have a full kitchen area setup. I just like giving SS flak, otherwise he gets too uppity.
