    order angst

I ordered some parts to my hammock setup last week, and I'm a bit anxious that they're not here yet. I plan to attend the East TX hang this weekend, and I know I'll need a bug net, maybe a tarp.

I ordered a WB Traveler bug net to go with my ENO hammock. I also ordered a big, cheap GG tarp for now. At least I have the hammock and suspension figured out (I'll be doing test hangs in the backyard tomorrow)...but I'd sure like to have a complete shelter for the trip.

Good start. looking forward to your test report.

If worst comes to worst a fellow member may have an extra tarp they could hookyou up with. I know I would but I'm a long ways from east Texas. The bug net might not be so easy to mooch but who knows.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Uncle Mike has a back up for his back up of his main back up that backs up his main hammock system which is ultimately just a back up for his hammock.

looks like I might have to do without the bug net. contacted WB and got a reply today that they're behind and my order has not yet shipped. -sigh- yeah, a tarp will be easiest to borrow if someone's got any extras.

Stop at any outdoor supply store and get one of these set ups. Not as cool as a netted hammock or net-sock, but it'll keep the bugs off. Cheap, too.

whew...some relief. my tarp has arrived now.

Closest outdoor store I know of is an hour the opposite direction from my trip destination.

The bugs aren't BAD yet (one night's supposed to get into the low 40's, so they won't be too active then), so I might be able to get by this time without a bug net.

When did you order your GG tarp?
I ordered on the 10th and there was no indication it was backordered then but, I see that they are now and, It still is not here.

I want you guys to know that before this forum I did not jones for things like a new tarp. Now I find my self trembling in anticipation all of the time; WBBB DL 1.7, new tarp, Opie's ridge line, more zing it, Dutch clips, more ripstop from scottlittlefield...the list goes on. Seems like I am always waiting on something new.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves for speaking so highly of this stuff, and sharing so much good information. You are just creating addicts!!

I ordered mine on the 10th, as well. I ordered from a link someone posted here to get it for something like $20 or so. The thing is a monster, that's for sure. No order confirmation or anything, though. It just showed up this afternoon.

I plan on getting a lighter tarp later in the year, but with this being the 'wet' season here, I figured a bigger tarp (in spite of the extra weight) would be beneficial.
