Thumbs up WV Seneca Creek/Spruce Knob loop

My first ever backpacking trip and my first ever hang! Just a one-nighter, but really nice conditions. Didn't need a tarp or bug net at all. Great campsites down by the creek. Bees were buzzing loud in the meadow. Can't wait for my next one!

I was there a few years ago (Autumn 2014) and camped at Judy Springs, then hiked up to the knob the next day. Got a lot of rain but it was still a great trip.

You certainly picked a great area for your first trip!

UL, because nobody ever asks "How can I make my pack heavier?"

Simplicity boils down to two steps: Identify the essential. Eliminate the rest. Leo Babauta

Why Your Photos Don’t Always Appear Correctly Rotated

In short: This site is old and doesn't understand the EXIF orientation flags embedded in images taken by modern cameras, so you have to manually edit the image to rotate it and remove the EXIF data.

    Way to go!

And great pic of the colors cmoulder! It's nice to see legit photos that weren't cooked (burned to a crisp) in photoshop or other software. I can tell this is a true "what I saw" photo. Letting nature do the work.
