Hammocks and kayaks are a perfect match. I've slept on a lot of banks and sandbars that would be impossible to pitch a tent on.

Welcome neighbor to the south! You'll find lots of great info here on the forums and I encourage you to get out to a group hang sometime. There's two coming up in October here in Michigan: the Chili Hang and the Gluttony Hang!

Welcome to the forum. It will be nice to meet you at the Chili hang. I've only been hammock camping for three years, but love it. And just starting to really get into kayaking.

Welcome! I too am a kayaker who has started kayak camping recently and am exploring the hammock option.
