My hammock is a Dutch Chameleon, I use the Dutch cinch buckle complete suspension system with the 15' length straps.

I keep my straps attached to each end of my hammock stuff sack like in the pictures I posted.

I store my suspension with my Hammock but I store my straps in these sap sacks.

Separate. Sap is the bigger problem. If you have whoopies, those can ride with the hammock even if wet, but the straps need to stay outside.

Mine go in a weightless little mess bag that used to hold veggies from the grocery store.

Separate. I hang on a lot of pines and my straps are pretty gross.

Separate, my straps have a ton of spruce sap on them.

Suspension and straps separate from the hammock. I like being able to swap out the suspension easily for short hangs and keep my pack dry when they are wet.

I have continuous loops that stay on the hammock and use straps with a Becket hitch. The straps get wrapped and stored in a small ziplock which goes in the stuff sack with the hammock.

    Together, unless wet or sappy.

Suspension stored attached for a smooth, quick setup.
Tree straps in the same hammock dry bag so there's no chance of separation or loss.

Mostly a overnight & weekend hanger, so any damp/wetness gets dried/aired when I return home. Not a issue for me.

Stick to a routine that works for you...until a better way comes along.
