    Two in a hammock?

Does anyone ever hang together in the same hammock as a couple? How?

    Thanks!

just get both people in not too hard to do make sure you have a hammock that can handle the weight and i recommend a 60 inch wide hammock body with warbonnet style whipping

You won't find too many of us, but my girlfriend and I sleep double on occasion. We sleep pretty much the same as we do when we are forced to sleep in a bed; me on my back and her kind of draped over the top and side of me.

You have to really like to snuggle to double sleep in a hammock comfortably.

My fiance and I have cuddled together in a hammock before, but we would never try to sleep in one. Pretty much the same position that Cannibal described.

    Which models?

Which models would you suggest for sleeping double? The only one I've seen so far that seems to advertise as being for two, other than that separate bodies Clark, is the Eno Doublenest.

The Hennessey Safari says it can be used by two but having owned one I would not want to try it. But then I took up most of the space myself. I have a DIY indoor sleeper (now retired) which was built to the measurements of the ENO doublenest. I really liked it for one person but my wife would not give it a try for two. Probably just as well.

Same hammock, but I would rather spend my money with Trek Light.

That's the hammock (Trek Light Double) that I spent a couple of weeks sleeping double with my girlfriend on the AT. Kind of fond memories.

Wow, that Clark Vertex looks like a great hammock, especially if you have a toddler. Found a hammock forum review of it here

Way out of my price range for now, but it'll be added to the wishlist.

You might also consider DIYing a hammock for two. You may have to put a seam in the middle to get the desired width if 60" isn't wide enough for both of you to feel comfortable. Just another thought
