    Hey from Minnesota

Extreme Newbie, Scout leader who's 51 and tired of sleeping on the ground!
Gonna build my own rig...now where to start Hmmm. no shortage of info here for sure! Justa watched part of Sug's videos-Did he live under powerlines as a kid, or what-guy's whacked!
Would like some help on material for a gathered set up, thinking 1.9 oz. ripstop, but should it be uncoated??

    Welcome aboard,
I am an old scout leader myself and I agree on giving up sleeping on the ground, my back is better off in the hammock.

Good luck with your new hammock.

Yes, you will want to use uncoated ripstop nylon so it breathes, otherwise you will get condensation.

Welcome Sotaram, I'm also from Minnesota too, ya sure you betcha. I'm also tired of sleeping on the ground. I just joined this forum and have learned so much. It has also cost me $300 in gear. I will be sleeping in style in the BWCA this year.
