I trust hammockgear ratings, but I still add 1oz just for peace of mind. The "already overfilled" thing is a gray area for me, like the "25% MORE!!" label on a shampoo bottle. 25% more than "before"? The competitor next to it on the shelf? If so, which one? The 10oz bottle? The 12oz bottle? The 16oz?

I feel like the +1oz option settles any questions I may have for a modest $8.

I agree. My quilts are from a variety of vendors, but I think they all have at least +1oz. My 0* Econ Burrow has +3oz 800FP and my -20* Carolina Reaper from Loco Libre has +3oz 900FP.

My most recent order is a 40* Premium Phoenix with +1oz 950FP. With the Phoenix being partial length, the extra down is distributed over a slightly smaller surface area. I'm with OneClick... I do it as a mindset thing and once it's added, I'd never regret it.
