SensorPush temp range is -40°F to +140°F. Above freezing, its typical accuracy is +/-0.5°F. Below freezing its accuracy is reduced to +/-1.3°F typical, +/-2.2°F worst case.

My lowest with it has been -16°F, but I've not cross-checked its accuracy with another device at that temp.

    1st Cold Test - Fall 2019

Very foggy. The moisture in the air is visible. My thermometer says 93% humidity. Projected low of 25°F. No rain, no wind = no tarp.

Curious to see what the condensation & frost situation with be throughout the night & into the morning.

Going to try the same gear as last time:

    4-season Therm-a-Rest XTherm Pad
    40° Sierra Designs Mobile Mummy
Costco Down Throw laid over top

    Long john top/bottom & socks

I was barely warm enough with this setup down to 28° two weeks ago, so this time I’m going to add either a second CDT or a bag liner, haven’t decided yet.

    1st Cold Test - Fall 2019

For how much moisture was in the air when I went to sleep, I was quite surprised in the morning to find how little of it had condensed on me or anything else. I keep expecting to wake up covered in frost, but it never happens.

Low temp dropped lower than expected to 18°F. Occasional light wind.

Top insulation: 40°F EN comfort rated mummy bag (30° lower limit), Costco Down Throw laid over top.

Bottom insulation: 5.6 R-Value NeoAir XTherm air pad rated below zero.

    Clothing: long johns, socks.

The big difference this time was a Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor liner, which claims to add 14° and I believe it. I was definitely warmer than the last test (28°), even with the temp being 10° colder. You can really feel the difference if the liner slides down off your shoulder.

There was the usual condensation around my mouth from breathing, but also some frozen condensation on the walls of the hammock near my feet (which were a little warmer than usual). I may have even felt a little bit of frost on my pad for the first time, under my feet. I couldn’t tell... it might have just felt cold like everything else.

Is the ""Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor liner" a vapor barrier? Apparently not, if you had condensation on the walls of the hammock near your feet, But it sounds like it added a lot of warmth.

The liner is just a very thin material. Surprised it works as well as it does.
