    Full time with dog

So, I was a full time hanger from 2012-2015. After I my dad passed away I got my dog and switched back to a bed so my monsterous dogger could lounge in the bed with me. Im to a point bow Id like to go back to full time hanging and I got a much better sleep and productive to boot. In light of that Im trying to figure out what to do with my pooch. Id move my bed out again and hang in its place. I know this may seem ridiculous but my dog likes to lay in bed and look out the window. Im thinking of building a platform for her bed to sit next to the window and be next to my hammock.

Anyone done this? Got some pictures? How about others ideas?

I don’t have any kids and my dog is my life. Her well being comes above all else. So please, none of this, dog should sleep outside BS.

Can you squeeze both in the room? I thought about doing that, but then realized "do I need to be in the master bedroom?" So I just hang in the basement or another room. But you in the hammock and the dog in its own big bed would be pretty cool.

The bed is nice to have sometimes. Definitely gets used for sorting clothes or whatever

Or just search on google "window bench". Lots of cool stuff and some will get you extra storage in the process. If it's big enough for a dog...I don't know.

Not all, but many dogs like to sleep directly underneath the hammock. My dogs command the beds and furniture during the day but when nitey nite time comes and I unfurl the Brazilian they take their spot under me. Its like guard duty to them.
left lay born, left lay bred and when I die I'll be left lay dead.

Yes, my dog also sleeps directly under my hammock, whether in the house or in the woods. The window bed idea sounds good though. I believe I would give it a try.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

    Full time with dog

She would totally sleep under the hammock except for one problem. Unless I use a different stand there is a bar directly under me. A window bench extra deep would do the job ill see if I can find something to fit the bill.

My room is big enough for both but it would be cluttered.

You're the one with the best judgement where your dog will be most happy. Despite that, pets will make up their own minds. Sometimes annoyingly so!

Maybe test your dogs preference with a simple 3/4" ply box tall enough that the dog TV is available to be watched and throw a dog bed or blankets on top. Maybe try prototyping it with some storage containers w/ a piece of plywood on top (if that's tall enough) then the bed or blankets. See what happens.

If the platform is the preferred spot you can check more permanent / nicer options. There are tons of fancy pictures all over the place. The limiting factors will be your tools and skill level, or willingness to hire something made.

Milk crates and plywood also can be used as mock up structure

Before i started hanging full time We all the slept on the bed with me at the time i had a mastiff type dog called a boerboel they are large dogs over 100 lbs well when the bed got a new home in the dumpster to say she was upset was a understatment infact she pouted for a month whining and pacing and she tried to get in the hammock with me it was not pretty. We almost landed on the floor a few times.i got a bed for Her under the hammock and she learned to live with it. But if it could fit a platform sounds better they hate feeling left out and i know i broke her little heart hopefully you can do better.
