Very nice looking Bridge Hammock Grizz! I gave up on reading all posts here some time back, & I obviously missed some of your progress on the Bridge Hammock work.
Very professional work! & i like the simplicity of the attachment points of spreader bar to webbing/rope!

Shug, is the one you are trying wider than the BMBH? Interesting that you two experts are finding these very comfortable. I continue to go back and forth. One day I'll be convinced I am a bridge man, then next week I am not so sure.

The only thing I am pretty sure about is that the bridge is hands down and consistently more comfortable in the legs, at least if you are not a die hard fetal sleeper. No contest. (remember, I'm the guy who has so much problem with calf pressure from center ridge ) I generally feel the gathered end hammocks are a bit more comfortable in the shoulders. I don't just mean shoulder squeeze, which is a minor issue at most for me, but I'm thinking more of shoulder comfort on my side. But it may be that, for me, the improved leg comfort is more important than shoulders. Still trying to decide.

But I think I still end up choosing my G.End hammocks for trips, because of things like easier to cover with tarp, or to use my HHSS, or even more so.... sometimes- even though the MW4 is wonderful on the bridge- I am just gung ho the Speer Pea Pod, obviously a no go with the bridge.

Any way, good to hear, look forward to more on how you guys feel about bridge vs GE.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us....that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

    I don't think I weighed it before shipping. Here's a thumbnail
sketch of shugs (stovemandan's is a double body, shug's is single)...

Main body fabric 3.2 sq yds, @ 2 oz, 6.4 oz
End caps fabric 1.2 sq yds, @ 1.1 oz, 1.3 oz
    webbing 3 oz
    rings 0.8 oz
    suspension 27 ft 7/64" Amsteel, 1.3 oz
    poles 9 oz

so that's 12 oz before poles (and you can press monopod poles into service
with this design), add 9 oz for the 0.625 OD Easton poles I'm using.

    more or less

I think we lost you slowhike on the bridge thread when we started using difference equations to compute the optimal shape of the load-bearing curve in the suspension....

(in Carl's voice) yep. The BMBH measures 29" spread and is (I think) 19 or 20" deep. The GrizzBridge is 36" spread at the head, 25" spread at the foot,
and 16.5" deep. The suspension cuts are close to the same, the GB has a 7.5" cut.

And BB58, while I've done most of my toying around with designs on a bridge, I do love me my Blackbird. Ah, well, Blackbirds, truth be told. Because sometimes a man just has to go fetal. Wait, that didn't come out right...

And Hawk-eye, yes, those flights were to home. Just pulled in. 'nuther exciting day in the air transportation system. I did get a 1st class upgrade without asking for one, that was nice. Guess they had an empty 1st class seat and some standbys for cattle car class, and I had highest frequent flyer standing among those sitting in the herd.

So is the Grizz Bridge an official offering?

    What's the weight limit?
