Yates was the place.
Met Hickery in the Linville Gorge and we spent a day and a half in the constant rain. Thankee to Jen and Cooldays for the delectable pizza delivered to our camp at night in the rain!
In the morn' we packed and headed to the Yates Hang. Got there early...EARLY!!!!
Phantom Grappler sure threw a wonderful and welcoming hang. Kudos to you PG.
Met so many of our hammock tribe. Saw some old friends and made many new ones.
I am home in Minnesota now and still dreaming of all the Southern hospitality and food.
Chicken and dumplins, pork cutlets, fried apple pies, sweet tea, Cheerwine, livermush, Carolina hot dogs, chicken, banana pudding and BBQ and more BBQ.
Stopped at Lexington #1 on the way home and got more BBQ to tote home.
I ran my gob so much I really did not film a lot. At Hangs, one just sorta wants to enjoy the brotherhood and sisterhood.
All the kids were really polite and easy to be around. They truly seemed to want to be there.
Even the hounds were nice.
Had a Maple King sighting~~~~~ He was in rare form.
Truly truly had a fantastic time.
But of course sleeping in a hammock sure helps.
Even got a walk in the woods post-hang with some new and old friends. That video is forthcoming.
Whoooooo Buddy)))))
