Question Does permethrin harm hammock fabrics?

I have used it on tents and backpacks without issue but they are not weight bearing . . . at least on the same order of magnitude.

Never had an issue using it on my gear and usually do two treatments for the summer hiking season. Lots of threads on HF about what to treat and how.

Thanks for the responses - I figured as much but wanted to ask. I realize the disdain for “asked and answered” topics so I will search the archives next time I have a question.

Many threads here on it and it's use with both hammocks and clothing. Here is one that has a lot of good information in it.

I have been using it on my hammocks and hiking clothing every spring for a number of years now with no ill effects.

Word of caution be careful with it around cats. When wet it will kill them. It is fine once it has dried.
