I don't see anything on the site FAQ or specs describing the difference in hand or performance for the 10D inner fabric versus the 10D Taffeta. Weight looks the same. Denier is the same. So.. what's the difference?

Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Never mind.. I found it... Am I correct that both 10D fabrics weigh the same 0.67 oz / sq yard?
10 Denier Taffeta is the same material as our 10 Denier, but without the ripstop grid. This allows for a silkier fabric, and is great for inner shell material. 10 Denier (10D) weighs 0.67oz/square yard.
Why wouldn't one want the Taffeta inner fabric?

I suspect the 10D is ripstop, whereas the taffeta is smooth.
Edit: Oops, Mike beat me to it!

Thanks Harry.. I already ordered the Taffeta on one of the four quilts I ordered last night.
Roll of the dice. Figured I'd try something different.

Follow-up for those considering 10D Taffeta vs 10D Ripstop.
I ordered the Taffeta and absolutely love it. Silky smooth, soft and very very comfortable. Overall, I much prefer the Argon over the Ion used in the Econ series.
