So excited to finally be a member here as I have been hearing all of the positive mentions in many of the videos I have been watching. Just getting started out in hammock camping here with my first solo hammock backpacking trip in the BWCA last fall. I was immediately hooked and new upgraded equipment dominated my Christmas list this year, lol. Looking forward to meeting a few of you here and learning more and new skills. Might even build up the courage to attend a group hang at some point - though the though of it made my wife laugh. Guess she just doesn't "get it"! Anyway thanks for welcoming me into the group.

Hi Pete! I live down in Milwaukee and there are a couple hangs coming up near you. One is in February at Jay Cooke SP in MN and BACONFEST 2020 will be in Chippewa Falls @ Lake Wissota SP in May. Look on the forums section about trips in the Midwest for more details. Hope to meet you at one of these group hangs!
