I'm sure you can vent it...just might be a small hassle. Sliding it up or down when connected creates air gaps. For a cool night that may be enough. If it's a pretty warm night, you might tie a small loop of cord to the head of your hammock and connect the Yeti suspension to that...which will make the Yeti hang farther away from the hammock and create an even larger air gap.
That's a LOT of down for summer, but if it keeps your wallet safe from buying another quilt, I bet you can make it work.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
If venting doesn't work for you, you might want to consider a thin Gossamer Gear or OWARE pad for summer. Not as expensive as another quilt and lighter to carry than a Winter Yeti. I don't mind sleeping on the thin pads, but some people get sweaty.

It'll probably work, but be at least a bit of PITA during those in-between nights. Good news is, when it's too hot to be able to effectively 'vent' the Yeti, it's probably warm enough that you don't need anything under you. On those nights, I shove my Yeti over to the right and let it bunch up under the shelf. If it gets cooler as the night goes on, I can reach under my hammock and pull it back into place.
Consider a Neat Sheet UQ for warmish summer nights. All you really need to do is keep the breeze from stealing your warmth and a NS UQ will do that very well for not very much money or effort.

Thanks guys I am on the wating list for buckels and was dreaming at Brandons sight and seen in the blemished section winter yeti. just wanted something I could use most of the year
I guess it depends on where you go - my summers it will be just fine, since I'm going up to higher elevations and it's frequently below freezing at night.

i find i don't need anything but a 24"x20" CCF pad in the summer months. if it gets nippy i simply put on either a 100 weight fleece or a windshirt. this usually is suffice for underneath.
so my 2 cents, without owning a UQ but eventually wanting one, would be to opt for the warmer option, much like you are considering
Do you plan on camping in 25º or colder? Ifso ... get the Winter Yeti. If not a 3 season yeti would be perfect.
Just vent it or whatever or just use a weather-shield, DD poncho or neatsheet for milder summer weather.
