    New To Hanging

Hello to all, I have been doing alot of research on hammock camping and following the forum for a while now. I have been a tent camper for many years and think its time to take the plunge!! I have been looking at the Black Bird and the Hennessy but still undecided. Any input on this from you guys would be a big help. Thanks Brushy Bill.

    Welcome.

If you get the Hennessy, make sure you get the zipper mod by 2Q&ZQ. It really makes it a whole new hammock.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

Hey Brushy Bill, welcome to the forums!

Check out the DIY section here for many many ideas about how to make your own "stuff". If you have specific questions about making something, you will get lots of helpful info and feedback there.

Lots of diy info here on hammock forums..look under the diy forum and tutorial forum, many options available. If its been done with a hammock, its somewhere on this site.
Just Jeff's site http://www.tothewoods.net/ is loaded with great info and tutorial info, he is a member here, and a cool guy.

Should be all the info you need, fabric choices, thread, needles, measurements, etc. Do some research on these two sites. Make your choices on what style and size and get busy.

Be sure to browse thru the video forum here on HF, lots of useful info to be learned by watching them. Grizzly Adams video series on suspensions is a must see, and Shug's videos explain pretty much everything else. And they are both entertaining. (or at least try to be)
