Hopefully Haven will get the message that accommodating 25" non-proprietary IPs would be a big plus.
As far as I can tell the pad has some structure built inside to help it hold shape as you lay in the Haven. Tried some regular pads and they did not do the job as well in my opinion.
I'm sure he thought this out and is still going through the growing pains of a new product.
But in book, at least it is something different than just another hammock. But he does not call it a hammock.
I'm going to do a look-see video soon. From the perspective of an old hammocker set in his ways.
There are some things I like about it and some I don't as much.
Most folks on HF here will more than likely bash it as it does not fit the mold. Pads, weigh and such.

Thanks for the information. Albeit, I find it puzzling. An inch on each side more and the sides curl up? After much experience with Hammocktent 90s, Exped Ergo, and WBRR I can't really see why having the sides curl up a bit is a problem. This actually was beneficial as the outer Exped tubes helped keep my body centered in the pad and my shoulders were not threatened by CBS. I wasn't a fan of the perpendicular tube pads, e.g. Thermarest style in any of the above hammocks and passed them along, but I have a difficult time imagining what the problem would be with a 25 vs a 23 inch model. But I guess they did their experimentation. Frankly, a 23 inch leaves a lot to be desired from my experience. Still fascinated by the Haven concept.
I got the new updated pad and tarp (no leaks now)
The pad is 24" wide. R Value of 4.

Please be sure to get a good shot of someone side sleeping in it. I would be really interested to see a profile view which shows the bottom of the pad and how much lower the hips are than the shoulders and feet so I can get a good idea of how flat it actually lays...
