    Winter/cold weather gear

NO, not too early, maybe too late.
Yesterday I saw a few clearance sales of "winter supplies":
Big Lot's had 10 packs of chemical warmers for $5.00 & alot of fleece stuff.
Meijer's had some fleece & synthetic jackets at 30% off.
And I saw a few signs in the windows of other places "Winter Clearance"

Granted the selection was limited, but most are looking towards summer weather & the stores are anxious to clear up space for the spring & summer stuff, so now may be a good time to get ready for next years cold weather.

Careful with those chemical packs; be sure to look for an "expiration date". They lose strength over time and I'd be leery about storing them for a year when they're probably already on the older side of life.

Prolly true, Caveat Emptor. BUT, I used some last Feb that were 3 years old & they worked fine, just keep the air out & they should do fine, get even a little Oxygen in & may as well throw them away.
I store mine in a heavy duty zip lock in addition to the outer package they came in.
