Mosquitoes are fine too. They're just hungry (and very large).

Just for the record and so no one gets concerned, my status is "If you see me there, then I am probably gonna be there." Just don't know if I will make it at this point. But y'all have a great time anyway.

Black flies!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! Would have thought the little $%^*! were gone by now! No problemo..100 percent deet will do the trick. Do we need a bear bag? In NJ the black bears come out at night like RESIDENT EVIL!! This will be our first hang with a group. Looking forward to it.

I just got back from visiting the campsite. Good news and bad news. The black flies aren't bad. The deer flies are pretty bad but not out of control. Bring repellent.

We were not able to get campsite #1 or #10. We have #2 and #3 and also #6 if we need it. I have never seen it so crowded during the middle of the week before. Must be everyone is camping since they can't afford to fly anywhere for a holiday these days.

Vito65 is at site 3 and Jonesy (Fred) is at site #2. Great guys! Between the sites we should have plenty of hanging space although these sites are a bit more primitive than the others and hangers might be more spread out in the woods because of it. Site #2 is on the lake so we can use that as water access and the other two sites are on the hill.

Take the "Pond Loop" trail from the lower parking area around the north side of the lake for the shortest hike. Only 10 minutes or so.

Weather looks good for the weekend. Warm nights and only small chances of t-storms. Fishing is good and the hiking is great.

Please reply to this email if you are coming so we have a firm idea of how many hangers we have. To be fair to other campers we should give up one of the sites if we don't need it.

    See you all tomorrow!

    hey everyone,
Not sure if i can make it - but if anyone is driving through or near Syracuse or Cortland, NY then that does increase my odds of going. I could chip in for gas money. It'd be nice to meet u folks...
