The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend coming up. I am thinking of going for a hang on Friday (April 2nd) with maybe some hiking Friday afternoon, or early Saturday.
Figured I would through this out there and see if anyone is interested.

Ok, I am definitely going now. Just got clearance from the Mrs. I am thinking maybe Bass River or Brendan T. Byrne state parks.
I know it is short notice but let me know if you wanna meet up.
Would love to join you. Weather should be great but just can't get away.
Have fun man.

Im leaving for a 3 nighter in Harpers ferry tommrow but have fun hopefully we can hang toogether soon (no pun intended )
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
@Knotty yeah it looks like it is going to bee some great weather. Sorry you can't make it.
@Lazy River Road have fun on your hang. I wish I could get away for three days but the gf and holiday have other plans.
I am just working on fine tuning for some gear and my pack set up for the MAHHA.
I have narrowed it down to one of the primitive sites in Wharton, not sure which one yet but I am thinking a site other than the Batona site.
In the barrens camping.

I'd love to hang in the piney's with you jersey boys sometime. When i was a kid I lived on Rt. 70 in Southhampton. Hunted, fished and road dirt bikes all over those parts. Oh, but never after dark. Was scared to death of that Jersey Devil. I think I may be over it, but not sure. Let me know how your overnighter went when you get back, if you get back.
@walkingfool It went well, I think I made a hammock convert out of my buddy who has been a ground dweller. He slept in a bivy sack wool blanket and ground pad. I give him credit for the minimal approach, but it wasn't for me. He was impressed with how small the hammock packed down, and how fast it set up. I general the trip was great. we camped at goshen pond, tested some new non-hammock gear hiked just under four miles in the afternoon. There was a lot of road flooding and the lakes and streams were swollen. The next time I go I will let you know.
@knotty sorry bro, we will get to hang sooner or latter.
