I'm at 25.66 lbs with 3 days food. What are you doing right? -or- What am I doing wrong? Does that include the video equipment

I'm impressed.

I have a video that I shot yesterday coming online in a few hours on pack content....... part one anyways.
Packed and repacked several times. It may go a bit lighter if the weather feels right at the trailhead .... final decisions. Not scrimping on coffee though......
Food alone ... gonna carry six days worth I think (unless we re-supply) is around 8 pounds!!!
That does include video .... 2 cameras.

Less clothing due to warmer temps. Homebrew summer top quilt rather than the big Cat's Meow bag as topquilt.

Thinking about cutting down that old down summer bag and making a top quilt out of it for this trip. Use the hood off of it for a winter "night cap"

Using my JRB HR top quilt .... have a more summery ol' sleeping bag made to a quilt but it is still heavier than the HR!
At least I can shift the down to the sides or back on top on the Hudson River....
I do not own a 40º tq.......
I do have cold weather stuff though!!!

Just wondering ... seems everyone is planning to go pretty light ... what'cha decided to leave out this trip that you normally would take? Doing anything different for the gorge over what you might have done previously?

My biggest ... and going to be the hardest ... is to filter out completely the "might need that" stuff and leave it at home. Like extra stuff.

Well ... off the phone with the blonde ... cost of this trip to the gorge will be putting my daughter and wife up in a hotel at the beach in the next several weeks. I knew she gave in too easy on me taking off the day after her birthday!
