Thanks for letting me know about the other forum. I have never heard of sparrow hammocks or anyone commercially building a cuben hammock. I just checked out the website and $110 is a great price but the weight is equal to the Grand Trunk Nano7 which retails for around $65-$70. Gram Weenies are his customers and probably realize this.

Bill Fornshell's username here is gardenville...check out his cuben projects on his website (already linked) and search for his posts here on HF. Good stuff.

yeah I have a GE cuben H for what? 3 yrs now. all C is 54 in wide, needs no hemming. I just tie an overhand knot in each end and hang it from my fixed ridge line) (To get the swoop of the H correct, some pull out center some ends just experiment) The CH with amsteel lines and some 1 in webbing for tree straps weighs in at 9.4 oz. The body prob is 3 or 4 oz. It works just like other Hs. I am 5-10in should have made it a bit longer I think. Speers instruction gives ideas on proper length. I now have my C bridge at a professional seamstress. the stuff is too expensive to trust it to my (read none) sewing skills. It will be interesting to see how it works out. I took Ideas from Grizz, TeeDee and a dozen other sources. But mainly it is my own! I have made a couple of rip H, bridges that fit my carbon fiber hiking sticks. pretty comfortable, gnome
