    Which SnakeSkin to buy?

    Hey All,

I am gonna ask this in the HH category, as I figure you guys would know this best

I have a WBBB DL 1.7 and the WB SuperFly.

I am wanting to pick up a couple of HH SnakeSkins, but I am not sure which # to buy. It seems there are different #s available...

Anybody know which I should get for both the SuperFly and the Blackbird?

    Thanks!
    John

seems like many prefer the skins for the tarp and a bishop sac for the hammock

+1 for snakeskins for the tarp and stock sack for the body. A #2 snakeskin is bigger than needed for just the tarp. It can likely accommodate the tarp and the DL 1.7. A #2 fits my HH Explorer Deluxe with the optional hex fly. A #4 can hold the HHED, hex fly, and a JRB Nest UQ, although it's definitely crammed in, and not recommended.

I have the Hyperlite and Hex Tarp, which fit perfectly in a #2. I'm pretty sure the WBBB is larger, but should still fit in a #2 if that is what you desire.

The reason most people use skins for the tarp and pack the hammock separately is your hammock won't get wet by commingling it with a wet tarp, whether it be from rain, dew, or condensation.
