If our weather on time change weekend is not optimal, I can understand why some campers choose not to camp. Some people are more affected by cold, wind, and rain, while others embrace all weather as gifts from the heavens.

With bad weather, we might see 20 intrepid campers
With good weather there can be 30 to 50 campers

I offer these ready made excuses for not being here
My hamster got out of its cage and is somewhere in the house
I had to take my ferret to the vet
I have an appointment for my cat to see the cat psychiatrist

I understand, and smirk at same time
And there are perfectly legitimate reasons for skipping a hang. It’s all good

I’m wondering now, what I’ll forget to pack
