Field Office

I'm jealous... At work I was sitting in the 1920s red-brick building on the second floor, built on man-made fill, 20' above sea level, in an earthquake zone, staring out the non-openable window at a blue sky.

<Sigh>

BTW: Where did you get those cool metal brackets for your hammock stand?

Yep, that's my question as well. I had considered digging holes for poles, but some movable stands seems like a better idea.

Do tell, are they home-made, or did you buy them somewhere?

Well, I never managed to get out in the hammock, but due to a string of odd circumstances I once spent a two-week period writing software while sitting under a cabana at the homeowner's association pool.

Fortunately, I was (and still am) a happily married man, so all those young women sunning themselves didn't distract me from my code.

First thing I noticed - you can't reach out and touch your neighbors house.
Second thing I noticed - look at the pretty snow.

Perhaps I need to leave HOUSTON!
