I just snagged a pre-loved Clark NX-270 and am wondering, if it's possible to wash it. So far, I have machine-washed all of my hammocks without any problems, but I'm not sure if the fabric for the hammock body is coated and if washing would damage it in any way. Unfortunately, the hammock stuff sack is made from silnylon and is sewn to the hammock body. Not a great idea for cleaning purposes. I don't know if I should separate it from the hammock or just risk damaging it when washing the hammock. What were the inventors thinking?

Any Clark owners have more experience and can give me a couple of pointers?
