How are the snaps holding during use? Reason I asked is that the WB Mamba originally came with snaps at the neck, it was found to unsnap, so Brandon replaced it with grosgrain ties. Im assuming a heavier duty and more secure snaps are being used here?

Right...This is a option that Stormcrow offers for his TopQuilts. I opted for this rather then velcro, because I hate velcro. I find the snaps to be a great way to have the same effect without the trouble. Nothing stupid about a question.

The snaps held just fine, didnt have any problems, and didnt see any stress on the fabric after use. I cannot speak for the snaps that brandon used for his Mamba.

Pak-Man what is your intended use for this quilt warmer or colder weather just curious?

Im a tosser and also dident really like the ideah of velcro so Adam suggested a sewn foot box which I really enjoy having on a winter quilt. Really makes sure my feet stay warm. Now I guess ill just have to buy another quilt for summer with snaps to compare the two.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Well my intention is to use this quilt from 15 Deg all the way up to 35 Deg. maybe even 40 Deg. The foot box at those temps I feel is a little too hot for myself. so I like the option of it being open too. Plus if I decide to stay at a hostel or hotel, I have it as a open quilt as well. I used it on my trip with the footbox and it was down around 35 deg. I could have opened it then, I wanted to test it though...

    Thanks

Cost?? I can't seem to find cost of The Burrow on the web site. Perhaps it is my addled brain. Addled, what a cool word. I posted this just so I could use the word addled. Oh, and to find out the cost of The Burrow

    Hope this helps!

Sorry folks - We are in the process of updating the website. It just takes awhile to find time to put the needle down and take the foot off the pedal!

The specs for the 3 season Burrow are as follows.

13oz of 900 fill power goose down
    2" baffles
temp rating is 20deg or better
44" tapering down to 36" (can customize dimensions)
    74" long (also customizable)
Colors are Coyote Brown, Woodland Camo, Olive Green, Black, Gray, and Silver/Gray (any combination of those colors). You can see the color samples here: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ighlight=Color

Right now we are offering two different price options:

Sewn footbox (no sewn through areas around bottom plug) price $240

Draw cord footbox with velcro, snaps, or ties enclosure is $210.

The prices may change once I have them updated to our website.
Contact us if you have any questions!

Just got word, and it looks like I'll have mine in time for the May hike. I haven't been this excited since yesterday when I got some other hammock stuff, or this morning when my tarptent came in.

    I'm a cottage industry fanatic.

I just ordered the Sewn footbox TQ from Stormcrow. He will have my UQ and TQ to me by the 15th of April. CAN'T wait to see them together on my hammock. I will post some pictures when I receive. I ordered it in all black. Should be a good fit and look very nice. It's set to be the same size as the Warbonnet Mamba. I decided to go with The Perfect Trees because of the 900 fill down and the reputation of a great quality custom made products. That's hard to find now days! ... Cottage industry stuff beats all mass manufactured stuff hands down! ... anyday!

    Can't wait to get! ...

i like where you put the pull cord on the head end...makes it easy to close up in the middle of the night...
Stormcrow makes one of the best quilts you can buy...
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
