It's great for sitting in the hammock with bugs since it protects you even with legs over the side!

Less convenient when you don't want to use it, but as you said, if you only use it at night, then it's a twice per day adjustment. Once in the morning, once at night.

I slide mine off to the head of the hammock in the morning when I no longer want it and at night when I do. This is very easy if your net has one large cinch-able end that allows it to easily slide over the UQ and hammock. Takes 5 seconds and then I am completely in the net-less no hassle life!

Have you ever done a video on this? I seem to remember you talking about the zips on Warbonnets and Chameleon but not a bottom entry. Superior Gear is now offering integrated bug nets but I’m not sure if I want a zipper or bottom entry since I’m looking at a Superior rig primarily for fall/winter. So many options!

I wonder if you could store it up along the ridgeline, like the Dream Hammock Raven. I guess it depends on how wide the bottom opening is.

I find it odd that one of the vendors hasn't made a bottom entry net that has a large opening on one side, so you can slide it over your hammock and underquilt to the other side, completely out of the way. Like the summer sock, but still have the bottom entry part for easy access when the net is covering the hammock

Since I made my own bottom entry, I have been wondering if there was a way to make one the could do what you described. I was thinking a zipper might work but is it worth the added weight and bulk. A cinch system probably wouldn't get tight enough to stop the bugs. Velcro might work. I haven't had the time nor the drive to experiment and find what would work.

This sort of has to do with an integrated bug net (sorta), and Shug, this may be more than you ever hoped for, but I have been curious about the minutia of things you do to setup your Eldorado for 'couch mode', i.e. adjust suspension? gather up the hammock under your legs to reduce the 'sitting space'?, etc. I try to do the same with my Eldorado, but it doesn't seem as comfy when laying back as yours might be.

Like I say, this is a deep dive minutia ad nauseum, and you may not have the intestinal fortitude to provide that kind of marginally useful information about something as trivial as 'sitting in a hammock'. I was thinking a video about it would be nice. Isn't it nice how I schedule your free time for you? Let me know if you need a booking agent now that you are retired. I work for bubble gum and peanuts.
