I'm now in the 4-6" zone of snow tonight! Rain for camp Saturday looks to be mainly 2am-2pm. Could be worse.
I just saw something about the raffle. I've never done this before. What kind of stuff is expected, as an example?

No raffle. I tried. Lots of vendors did say they wanted to donate. I had to keep asking and asking. I felt like I was poor and begging so no dice.
Thanks Skyball, sorry you had to go through that.
Because it's small and DCF UL I'll still be bringing this. https://zpacks.com/products/shoulder-pouch
Anyone need it or want to pack in something to trade, you will be very welcome.

I gave up trying to get items for the hangs I use to host as the vendors get so many request for donations. Got to the point they had to really pick and choose which hang to donate to and the very large hangs seem to be the ones with the best chance of getting donations. Not a complaint, just a problem the vendors have as many of them are very small operations and can not afford to donate to every group that asks.

Hey guys I’ll probably be there Friday. Can’t wait to see some old friends and make some new ones.
Ah Saturday is a washout. Full-on summer weather Monday, missed by one day! Oh well that's April.
Got 4.5" of snow here overnight. Absolutely beautiful! Saw a bunch of downed branches this morning. Some trees already have leaves and couldn't take the weight.
I will be there this weekend! It has been a long time.
On my way from NC. Around Frankfort Ky I ran into some snow. Too warm for it too stick and it turned to water as soon as it hit the windshield and then got a little rain. reminded my of the MAHA hang I attended two years ago when I got to the hang and it snowed for a few minutes then stopped. Decided to get a hotel room for the night and get up to hang tomorrow by noonish. Which will work out better for me as I still have to pack all my gear in to my pack ( and find a place to get some beer ). Of course now the sun has come out.

I'm spending tonight at another site about 30 minutes away from the fire tower, if you want to meet up there around noon just let me know. Or whenever.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
