On the tarp one, just prussic the black line to the tarp dring. You should lose a few ounces by losing the biners. THAT TARP IS TINY! Please report back after spending a storm in it. My setup:

warbonnet blackbird double layer 1.1 w/ dynaglide whoppies and ridgeline: 22.1oz
    Maccat deluxe tarp: 11oz
    2x 6foot huggers + tarp ridgeline(1 small metal fig 9 used) + tarp guylines: 3oz

    Total :36.1

If i had a single layer blackbird instead of a double, i would be at 29.1. Im thinking of switching to a single. Of course the weight of stakes should be included as well, in that regard i have 6 titanium shepherd hooks + 1 extra incase i lose one. I haven't weight them yet, but they couldn't be more than a few ounces.
the Maccat deluxe comes in at 13oz

    overall nice setup

I guess folks assume silnylon as a default unless you specify otherwise

I have yet to do the math but I reckon your tarp cost about $50 more than my whole setup... but you get some real coverage for just a tiny bit more weight than the little sliver of silnylon I'll be trying to hide under

    Thanks Jonsey.

So far I only use sleeping bags, no quilts, for a variety of reasons. As you I'm sure you know, you still need under insulation... I'm a warm sleeper though and unless it's below 30F I can get by with a half-length 3/8" thick foam pad. Above 40,just the sleeping bag is enough (it's a Eureka Casper 15 bag).

For winter camping I have heavier sleeping bags and the DD Underquilt mentioned in the info box to your left. I even have an arrangement using two 3/8" CCF pads arranged in a "cross" for max torso insulation which I could use along with the UQ, but to be honest even in -13F temps this February I found the UQ combined with my sleeping bag to be sufficient.

Regarding the DD UQ, I think it's a good value but at 2.2 pounds (plus or minus), it only goes in my backpack if it's COLD out

Cool set-up, Festus. It's a ton of fun to see all the different combos people come up with. Everyone has different needs, desires and priorities, so there's quite a variety of stuff to be seen here!
