new amok draumr UL

I am trying to decide between the Dutch's Chameleon and the similar offerings from Dream Hammock and Warbonnet, but this new ultralight version might be a interesting alternative. I am 6' 3" and 230 pounds so the UL XL should fit me I would think.

I'm really interested in how it compares to the 4.0 in terms of breathability, wind resistance and tear/abrasion resistance etc - I sometimes find myself scraping the foot-end of my 4.0 on the ground by accident when getting in and out.

I'd assume the color change would also make it easier to look through, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you camp and preference of privacy...but I personally like the change.

Also, forgive me for being blunt, but did you not have any interest in reviewing the new lineup this time around? I'm sure they'd send you samples if you reached out, you've been a great ambassador for their products over the years.

They did reach out and ask me a few months ago and I said yes but have not received anything from Amok.
Oh well.

My amok draumr ul arrived in less than a weeks time. The pad I ordered the day after the hammock still hasn’t shipped. Not sure what the hold up is. Still says shipper has generated a shipping label but hasn’t been handed over to DHL. That’s dated on March 30th. First time I contacted them I was told it didn’t make the last trucks sent out before Easter. Yesterday I was it would go yesterday. Still hasn’t shipped. I’m not very impressed with this being my first time ordering from them.

Anyone else having shipping issues?

I ordered a hammock on the 28th, got the shipping label notification on the 30th, and then received the exact same reply as you. I sent a follow up this morning. I can only assume that their long Easter holiday put them behind. Fingers crossed.

Their website said their warehouse was closed April 1-5 and to expect extended fulfillment times due to filling all the orders.

Just got a message that my order is on the way. She said that DHL hadn't picked up anything until today. Shrug. At least I should have my hammock on Monday!

I order my UL the same day you ordered the pad and had the same problem. It did ship today and expected here on Monday. Unfortunately, I will be 1000 miles away visiting my son so it will have to wait until I get back. I had hoped to take it with me. Oh well.
