    I emailed Clark inquiring as to the exact materials their straps are made from. We'll see what they have to say. I am curious. As cooldays said, they are very, very light compared to any others I've used.

    I hope you have better chance than i did,they only gave me the ratings for the straps and rope and said nothing about properties of the webbing when i prompted them!
    They only told me that they were available and ready to ship.

    I've been using polypro for months and months, 1 inch thick, works great, no stretch. I weigh 150. Lighter than standard webbing, and the webbing that came on my WBBB.

    IMHO the 1 inch vs 2 inch tree strap should be more about protecting the bark than how bulky it is in the pack. When you get a little beefy like some of us guys that extra width really counts.
    I spent most of my money on beer and women and hammocks.
    The rest I just wasted.
