Tarp Idea

Hi All
Has anyone thought of or has this idea been done already?

Instead of the sides of the tarp tapering in like the Blackcat and Maccat at the edge nearest the ground make the tarp so that it is square with 90 degree corners before adding the cat cut edges.

It kinda sounds like the Speer 8x10 cat cut tarp.

I think the biggest issue with that approach is getting the ridge seam on the diagonal and still having enough width to the silnylon to have the the non-ridgeline diagonal to be the same length (ie square tarp) as the ridgeline diagonal - this is for a tarp of size 9x9 or greater - it will work for an 8x8 ex JBR tarp

Yes something like that with the ridgeline running left to right across the page.
