    Sleeping Pad

What size of pads does everyone use in the double layers? It seems like some people think they could get a 40 inch wide pad into there, but I don't want to purchase the wrong sized pad.

Keep in mind that you can always trim your pad to size if it is too big. It is harder to stretch a pad that is too small. This is, of course, based on using a CCF pad of some variety.

I bought one at walmart for 12 bucks, it's 26 in. wide. It isn't the compressed foam one, it is the newer ones they are selling that are more like styrofoam.
I was a little leery buying it, but for 12 bucks what the heck..
I used a sun reflector and that and a light summer bag. It was good for me
it only got down to 39f. that night though.. I see they sell alot of those 20in.
how in the heck could anyone balance on that for a night?? lol..

I can get two 24" mats side by side in my dd, which is 48". This still leaves 3" space on either side.
