I just joined, but have been a member of WB and BPL for some time. I thru hiked the AT last year and am looking to get out this year again, but for much shorter trips. Anyone in MPLS/SP interested in doing some hiking/camping?

Nothing that's quite so focused as that. The Friends of the BWCA do a fair number of trips for trail maintenance on the BRT and trails in the BWCA. There's a large Minnesota Rovers group that does all sorts of outdoor activities that occasionally includes backpacking trips. There's an informal group of MN BPL members, but we haven't really gotten together in nearly a year.
We've been muttering with Shug and others about doing some sort of informal social gathering to eat (BBQ!!!), drink, and look at hammock gear, but so far no one has taken the initiative to try to organize it. (Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?)

Hey Saint...... no club I know of. I am more of a solo hiker so I am my own club!
I do go to the SHT often ... but not often as I would like.
beep .... yeah we still gotta do that. don't count on me to organize it though as I tend to be an idea man.....
In truth I would rather see gear on the trail...... maybe even tote some BBQ!!!!!!
