I am just waiting for the utility line to come in the mail for my tie outs. I patterned this after the WBBB. It is a double layer 1.1 (from sclittlefield's group buy).
It is 11" unfinished, gathered end (thanks Knotty for the vid) with Amsteel for the closed loops and a whoopie sling for the adjustable ridgeline (99" to 109").
Both layers are stitched together with the exception of around 36 inches on the foot/zipper end for my pad to slip in and the bottom layer under the shelf.
This was my second hammock I have made and a significant improvement from my first.
The footbox is smaller and the shelf bigger than the WBBB. I made a double ended stuff sack and am using a Mad Rock and Black Diamond caribiner for ease of connection with my webbing on either end.
My tarp is a 11' by 68" (minimalist tarp, not pictured), but it extends below the zipper on one side and the shelf on the other (I already have a tarp shelter complete with doors). The ends fold in against each other to stop drafts from coming through the top.
I would not change a thing about it.
Enjoy!!!
