    Ye Ye, I dunno, I said I was making pics
    you could of asked for specifics....

    It was a 40 second photo shooting.

    No setup. No one cares for hammocks here....
    They all think hammocks are not the real thing!

    See the specs for the length please.

    Look at the riverbank Pic from Fishstar...

    ...

    p.s
    I even made some pics of the the Mountain Pro backpack 40
    as Fishtar asked. If anyone wants to see them I will upload them
    but they are also just a splatter of images.

    The red arrow is a maybe.

    I have been using Exped products now for 7 years, they make realy well thought out kit that is very durable and last. I have slept many a night in the scout hammock and the Wallcreeper bag and with the Featherd Freinds Winter Wren in winter. I use what I call the banana method. Easy in easy out and no compressed insulation. I got one of the Scout Hammock Combi from England last year. I have slept out in it at -25 with DX 7 down mat. Its a bit heavy but bulit to last. Will send photos tomorrow. At this time there is no thoughts about bringing in the Scout Combi, but think if there was anuff intrest they would. I hope they make it since they split of from OR they make great kit !! The Wallcreeper is a wonderfull bag to use in a hammock.

    Slowhike;
    It has a double bottom, with a pass through sleeve. In the photo I have Exped
    # 7 DX Downmat in the hammock, other pads work just as well but with the down mat you need no under quilt to well below -0.
    The other photos are with a foam truck windshield sungarde for pad
    in a Exped scout hammock and with an older Wallcreeper down bag.

    fourdog - have you tested the Downmat 7 at 0F? (Or did you mean celsius?) I was only good to about 20F in mine before I started getting a cold butt. It was a little windy, but I was protected pretty well. And that's with me fully inflating it...many folks don't fully inflate theirs in the hammock, which would decrease the insulation a bit under the butt.

    Good pics, too...thanks for posting them. Looks like a pretty durable setup.

    Just Jeff;
    It would be in the woods at 0F with and well inclosed tarp. Mat inflateted to
    7/8ths full. Med weight down coat with hood. Featherd Freinds Snowbunting sleeping bag as over quilt. I weigh 185lbs.

    Wow - that's a great result for that pad. I sleep kinda cold so I'm not surprised that other folks get lower temps with it.

    I just purchased the Exped Scout Combi from themountainfactor.com in Great Britain. It was highly discounted. expect to see it next week. Total price including shipping came to $115.00. I did this after seeing Fourdogs on the last Northern Hang. Fourdog has a great concept in his demanding multiple use from all his gear. I gleaned a lot of info from him. Thanks Fourdog. One of his stoves is on my wish list.
