Good post, with some good ideas!
You know if you're still lusting after a genuine original, I still have two. I could probably be convinced to part with one.
I've been pondering loading my 30 degree with about 6 ounces of 900 overfill to possible make it a 10 degree Peapod.
From my understanding the baffles for the 20 and 30 are the same, but the 20 has 4 ounces more down as the two versions had a 4 ounce weight difference.
That being said, I actually have been pondering a Climashield Peapod for some time. (I think Ed's old FrogPod had synthetic insulation?) What I would REALLY like is to get my hands on a 9X6 piece of Wiggy's Lamilite (which is him laminating the Climashield to one layer of fabric to make it more stable) to make a new pod. His "L3" is the lighter grade, but it's good to about 50 degrees on its own in your Claytor. Plus you can wash it on a regular permanent press cycle and toss it in a dryer on low. Doubled over, it becomes a 4.5'x6' synthetic top quilt probably good to 25. degrees.
