I like the ideas you used for your Cuben Bridge Hammock.
I would like to use some of your ideas but only if you say it is OK. I don't want to get jumped on later for not asking.
I played with a sort of Cuben Bridge back awhile but never moved it past a very early stage. It might be time go back and dust it off.

I modified my cuben fiber hammock today by adding 8 tie out points. This makes it a Hammock/Tarp combo.. It can be used as a hammock in good weather and a tarp in bad weather.. The added versatility only adds an ounce to the weight.. Here is are two pictures of the Hammock/Tarp combo set up in A frame bad weather mode. Its small but similar in size to alot of solo tarps on the market. Its also probably something geared more toward ground dwellers looking to hammock during clear sky's.... Don't mind all the cord hanging all over the place, I had to set it up quick since it was almost pitch black outside.. I will take more pictures tomorrow with some other setup options...

Still a channel end and you don't even have to pull out the channel cord! I have been experimenting with a gathered end and it seems to be more prone to wear then the channel end..
channel end is fine! it will lay just like a gathered end.
In my mind, whipped and channel end hammocks are both still gathered ends because the fabric gathers at the end...rather than a bridge hammock where there's no gathering.
Semantics for definitions, I know...but that's what we do here!
