I like them too! One trip to the hardware store that saves time over and over again, each time I use my tarp.

Sorry for the blurry image. Its from my camera phone -- but I think its good enough to get the idea. The guyline I used is one of Opie's great prusic creations without the self-tensioner. I believe I had him make it a bit longer than normal.

The Curvyman came with a #0 S-biner, which I removed (didn't need it for this application). Weight of the Curvyman (without the S-biner) shows as 0.1 ounces on my scale.
Dito for me. Pretty much the same opinion you have. I put a complete set on my Speer last night and didn't use the small #0 biners either. I just threaded my lines through the hole at the "head of the Curvyman.

    Just a Thought

Would a smallish patch of Ace bandage sewn on the tarp at each tie down point work as a mini stuffsack for guy lines?

I'm thinking, too, that this might work on Black Bishop bags, to stow suspension lines/webbing.

Personally I just tie mine up, but if you are intent on using some form of gizmo to keep your lines tidy, why not just use elastic bands?

Much cheaper and lighter than a Curvyman and multipurpose too.

If you wanted to pimp your tarp you could even use those coloured hair scrunchie things that the girls use to tie their hair.

A small colored elastic band for hair, larks headed onto the line near the tarp? Sounds good.
If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable.

Or if you're DIYing your own tarp, you can build your cord storage right into your tieout loops, like MrsMustardman did on her asym winter tarp:

Plastic canvas is also easy to cut

    http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/it...em=DAR-33275-1

Both items should be available at JoAnn Fabrics and Michael's

JoAnn's shows plastic canvas in brown but you can't see it in this picture:

One of the gals here (TinaLouise?) sewed the mini-bags and I believe she said they were slippery. My suggestion is to make them out of mosquito netting/no see'um mesh.

I really like the sewn-in pockets on the HH Hex tarp.

Now, I have JRB's tarp tensioners with the rubber tubing. What's a good way to store these after wrapping?

Perhaps a loop of velcro (like they have inside tents to hold the poles)??
these look pretty good and you get 30 of them for a coupla bucks

Tho you got me on the stowing the tensioners....

Thats what I've been doing for awhile now. Only I have them larksheaded to the D-ring tieouts.

planius good solution.i love wandering around the hardware store with an unusual idea searching for an answer.
could you also work a cord tensioner into this cord winder?use it to replace figure 9's?so it would be cord tensioner and cord storage.
