Texas Hang in June

I've been watching this thread with great interest. The weekend and location seem to work for me.

With my new kayak being delivered this week, sure would be a great opportunity to paddle and get some great pictures!

Unless something profound happens to delay my arrival, count on me being there that Friday sometime after lunch.

Not a problem -- look forward to seeing you when we get there! (I don't actually get off work till 5, get home around 6, then load the car and head out for about 3 1/2 hours of driving)....yeah, we'll be pulling in sometime between 10 and 11. We'll let the ranger know some guests may arrive earlier than we will, though.

Then again, I could always try and get that Friday off, too....

Come hang with me in Palo Duro Canyon! Way up here in what truly should be called North Texas but is called West Texas we are still cool and when you get down into the Canyon we actually have some scenery!

That's one of the places we eventually want to go. In less than two weeks, we'll be in the Davis Mountains, but that's a birthday trip for me, so not really a group hang thing, which is why we aimed for June.

Who knows, maybe later this year for us....when would you suggest?

Of course, there's hardly a law against having more than one hang going on at the same time

I missed out on this one. I went and signed myself up for a summer soccer league here...lol...glutton for punishment that I am...and games are on Saturdays. I doubt I'll be able to hang in the fall, since I'll be taking a couple of classes then.

8 people allowed per site, but more sites can be reserved with no issues as long as you RSVP with enough time to make the reservation. Remember, this is the Texas hill country! Parks fill up fast!

Date is set, campsites are reserved. More can be gotten easily if we need more room.

Not going to lie, it took me a while to read all of the posts in this thread. I haven't decided on it yet, it will be a serious road trip for me (El Paso area). Will keep y'all posted if I am able to attend. If anybody knows of any hangs close to my area, it would be greatly appreciated.

Not really an official HF hanG, but we'll be out in the Davis Mountains state park next weekend for my birthday, if you want to say hi to some fellow hangers.
